RIM has a great piece of hardware out right now but if people don't get apps on this thing soon, the Xoom 2 / iPad 3 or TheHumanCentiPad (LOL) will be here before you know it and make our PlayBooks look like a pocket calculator. RIM needs to put something on this tablet that makes Apple and Droid guys turn their heads.Īpple and Android are really only a software update from matching RIM on Push technology. If I was a Droid fan or an Apple fan I wouldn't even own the thing. I am already getting a little tired of the pack in apps, but I am patiently waiting. Microsoft’s Silverlight Posted on Decemby ellen After years of institutionalized incompatibility in their browser software, office software, and video software, Microsoft has come out with with Silverlight, their Rich Internet application platform and supposed Flash Killer. If they do not, this PlayBook venture will fail. BB PlayBook has like 8 avenues for development, there is NO REASON AT ALL RIM Should be doing anything but encouraging all development on this platform. RIM needs to stop depending on their hardware alone for marketplace dominance. Also the iPad 2 will be supporting Silverlight and Android has some silverlight apps. With RIM getting cozy with MS for cloud stuff, Silverlight should be very high on their list. Many business applications use Silverlight to get access into a browser. No.This would be EXTREMELY foolish on RIM's part.
